Can I enter on the day?

Yes we normally take limited pay on the day entries, but you should email in to confirm you want a place and that places are available.

Your event is full, do you have a waiting list?

Yes, if our events fill we will often open a waiting list, you will see this and be able to apply on the individual race.

Nearer the race day we will email waiting list runners if we get deferals/transfers.

I can no longer take part; can I get a refund or transfer to another event?
We don't offer refunds but can transfer yourself to another one of our races or you are welcome to transfer your entry to another runner. Transfers can be made up to 2 days before the event. If you transfer after that point there will be an Admin fee.
Can my family come along and spectate?
Spectators are always encouraged. Our events are low key friendly events with the minimal number of barriers and taped off areas. Just try to keep the finish area and drinks stations clear.
How old do people have to be to take part in a GRIM event?
You must also be aware that there are maximum permitted distances for certain ages. We obtain our permit from the Trail Running Association (TRA) and the maximum distances permitted to be run are as follows: * 16 years, up to 10km * 17 years, up to 25km * 18 & 19 up to marathon * 20 years and over: No limit Due to insurance requirements, we are not permitted to allow runners to run further than the distances stated.
Can I run with my dog at non-Canicross events?

Dogs are welcome at some of our events, where there is sufficient space. Anyone running with a dog will be encouraged to start at the rear of the event and ensure that other competitors are not impeded by your dog. Park Run rules apply, dogs must be on a short leash and not a harness. Competitors cannot be placed in the overall results, they will be shown in a separate section, (running with dog). Check with the Grim Team if you are not sure if you can run with your dog.

Can I run with a pushchair/buggy?
This will depend on the race venue, and it is always best to check in advance. At some of our larger events, it would be difficult to guarantee the safety of other runners, but at smaller events where the course allows it, we are happy to allow people to run with a buggy if the infant is aged 6 months or over (for insurance reasons).
When are the results available?
We do our own chip timing at Grim and results are usually posted on the evening after the event but sometimes can take up to 24 hours.
Where can I find the results?
The provisional results will be posted on our FB page, It’s Grim up North chat (link) on the evening of the event and they will also be posted on our website (link). The final results will be posted on the following Wednesday, onto our website.
What if my result isn’t correct?
Contact a member of the Grim Team on info@itsgrimupnorthrunning.co.uk and the update will be made available on the Wednesday after the event.
Do you sell GRIM Merchandise?
We do have T-shirts, Hoodies, Zoodies and hats (link)
Can I transfer my entry
Yes, you can change your entry free of charge on this website (go to 'My profile' then 'Manage My events'). This will normally be available up until the race entry closes . If you want us to manage your transfer or change distance on the day then we do charge an Admin fee. If you need any advice then please just ask on the Grim Up North Chat page on FaceBook
